Other helpful links

Firstly, a lil bit of self promotion

My Disney CRP Tumblr  - More random blogging

My Disney Twitter  - 'cos hey, why not?

Below are a bunch of links to websites that I've used throughout the application process and beyond.

  • Yummy Jobs - recruiters for the UK & Canada CRP as well as the ICP. They also have non-Disney related jobs abroad as well!
  • WDWIP Forums - handy information and discussion boards for Disney applicants from all over the world. As the Facebook groups tend to be "secret" (you can only see them if you have been invited), the best way to find others that are applying are to use these boards!
  • Disney International Programs - The official Disney website
  • STA Travel - They work together with Yummy Jobs (Yummy Travel) and can offer discounts on flights and insurance.

These are a list of books that I also read while getting prepared for interviews. Some helpful, some not!
It's not necessary to do this amount of reading or any at all, I just enjoy it during my down time and so put these on my Kindle.

  • The Unofficial Guide Walt Disney World 2012: Unofficial Guides Series, Book 283 [Kindle Edition], Bob Sehlinger - Extremely difficult to read on a Kindle as its too lengthy. Would be better in normal guide book format I think.
  • Cast Member Confidential: A Disneyfied Memoir [Kindle Edition], Chris Mitchell - I wouldn't bother with this. It all seems to be a load of made up stories from some disgruntled guy that thinks he's too cool for it.
  • The Walt Disney World Trivia Book: Secrets, History & Fun Facts Behind the Magic: Volume 1 [Kindle Edition], Louis A. Mongello. - Fun little book but again, a lot of flicking back and forth so quite difficult to read on a Kindle.
  • 102 Facts and Photos About Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom and Epcot, Jeremy E. Schultz - Bit meh... theres better books out there.
  • The Dark Side of Disney [Kindle Edition], Leonard Kinsey - I wouldn't recommend any of this stuff while at Disney but some funny stories. And some rather weird stuff as well....
  • Mousetrapped: A Year and A Bit in Orlando, Florida, Catherine Ryan Howard. Great book about her time spent working at one of the hotels at Disney World. As she wasn't eligible for the CRP she took part in a different program that just happened to place her at Disney (Swan & Dolphin isn't an actual Disney Hotel although it's on the property). Bit of a different perspective but good read all the same.
